Louisiana World Exposition

Advised and assisted in obtaining Bureau of International Exposition and U.S. Department of Commerce approvals for the Exposition. Structured and closed $55 million financing for this project that accelerated the revitalization of the Historic Warehouse District in New Orleans. Working with local, state and national government agencies and with private developers, helped facilitate the development and construction of permanent residual structures including the Morial ConventionCenter and Riverwalk Marketplace.

Riverfront Streetcar Coalition

Helped found, organize, and plan the development of a light rail system (historic streetcars) for the riverfront area of New Orleans. Obtained approval and an UMTA development grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation, and oversaw the construction and successful completion, in less than six months from the date of DOT approval, of the only profitable mass transit system in the United States.

Canal Place Limited Partnership

Closed $160 million permanent financing, structured and sold $30 million limited partnership interests, and oversaw the turnaround of this 2 million square foot urban mixed use real estate project.

Serving as President and member of the Board of Directors of this regional manufacturing company, restructured the organization and oversaw a return to profitability in less than one year. Over four years tripled sales and quadrupled shareholder value.

Cabot Dedalo Museum Foundation

Working with a local entrepreneur and the Government of Spain, organized the acquisition of the USS Cabot, a World War II aircraft carrier, arranged financing, and deployed logistics for relocation from Spain, all inless than sixty days. Working with the Louisiana Congressional Delegation obtained a $2 million Department of Defense grant for refurbishment of the vessel.
